I don't see how the same doesn't apply to every instance of fundamentalist Muslims protesting something stupid.
Isn't simply decrying fundamentalism enough? There aren't enough hours in the day to read about every single protest in every single country in the world.
Isn't it logical? When someone in his religious/cultural/racial group does something bad it is only logical that everone else in that group is against it, and no one has to protest it. If someone outside of those groups does something bad everyone in the same group as that guy who does not protest it is obviously in favor of the evil act, and anyone protesting it is secretly still in favor of it!
I'm all for free speech but I'm trying to put my finger on why watching this thing gets me riled up. Normally free speech is to protect far out thought and beliefs that we may find constricting today but could be the norm tomorrow. Examples would be the protests for equal rights during the civil rights movement, or the right for women to vote etc., something that was considered outlandish a few decades ago. These unkempt bearded clowns (and I've seen hordes of them when I've visited London) are chumping the system just like Hitler did to try to pull society back to how it was centuries ago. In other words, free speech is normally used to guide society to preparing for the future, the Islamists are using it to pull it back by centuries.
The question then is whether these whackos would get anywhere near the levers of power to wreak the kind of havoc that Hitler did on the world. The only way to ensure that it doesn't happen is to stand up to them and enforce our right to question their beliefs. I hope more people start questioning Islam like Christianity or Buddhism or atheism rather than run for shelter the moment they see these barbaric hordes bare their teeth (as in the Mohammed cartoon episode).

I don't know if John is in the SAS, I presume he is since he said it. If he's fibbing, he's been pretty consistent about it for quite a while now and nobody has picked any holes in it yet

The way I see it is if you were to let someone enter your house, use your bathroom get food and drink from your refrigerator. Then they start complaining about how your house is decorated, verbally accosts your family and makes demands for changes to your house to better meet his needs.

Second, I understand the right to freedom of speech. It's something that we should all fight for.
However, the raw audacity it takes to spur and overwhelming protest when your own nation's soldiers are coming home and having a welcome home parade is completely rude, inconsiderate, degrading, and unsupportive of the nation you are living in. It's not about freedom of speech, it's about decency and respect.
Basically, the muslim douchebags should have some fucking heart and find another way to protest instead of being inconsiderate jackass bitches.

As I remember Sharia courts over here do not trump the law. They are more like arbitration hearings that both parties agree to, any party can take the case to a regular court.
Please don't confuse JoS with actual logic or information, he'd much rather just use profanity and blindly believe he has the right answers even though he's an idiot.
I understand that much, I only said that it was incorporated and recognized by the judicial system, which it is. Not saying it's the end all be all figurehead of the courts, but that's recognized.

SAS is pretty secretive - you are definately not supposed to talk about operations to anyone, under any circumstances, but I've seen him mention his posting in Afghanistan. Then again that's pretty vague and he might think he's untracable here. Maybe he's on a military network and really is untracable. Who knows.

Why shouldn't people protest something they consider wrong? Why is it soldiers get put on some high pedestal where they are immune from criticism?
I think eventually there will be a big back lash against Muslims in many countries including the USA someday. We will kick them all out and not allow any in since they do not want to conform to whatever the countries standards are. They want to change them to tolerate their ways of life.

I've asked this very same question a lot of times.
Specifically, it applies to our soldiers. Because soldiers can do no wrong. Their cause is always just.
The fact is our memories are failing us. Wars and the soldiers used to wage them have been protested plenty of times throughout modern history in countries around the world (including ours) by their own citizens.
The only reason this made Faux News is because they could put Muslim in the headline.
Due to a lack of true fairness in their current legal systems, built on technicality and ubiguity- to the benefit of the ruling classes.
Not that sharia law is a better alternative or a lack of respect of the pawns in these socially based struggles.

No. These clowns are using the "letter of free speech" to kill it's spirit.
Most of these fellows are first or second generation descendants of very conservative low-skilled workers who emigrated to Britain. Unable to reconcile the conservative beliefs drummed into them at home with the liberal societies they grew up in, they have grown up with a lot of inbuilt hatred that they are channeling into such destructive activities.
