Muslims in Britain Demand Sharia-Compliant Student Loans

They pay fees instead of interest - big deal?

Open up loan documents in word - find and replace - interest with fee. Done.

Doesn't even take a lot of time to change the documents.

england has canon courts right now. back before henry viii (i am i am) took control of the church the law courts had to ask the canon courts about all sorts of things (if people were married, for example)

Pretty much this.

Banks offer no interest loans, but you wouldnt want one. They wack the interest on at the start, or some shit. You better believe the bank is making their money.

Anyone is free to get one, not just muslims.
 
I thought the Koran was against usury in the sense that you should not charge interest as the lender, not that you should not pay interest as the lendee. In this case, the government/banks might be 'guilty' of usury but that doesn't mean the people receiving the loan are scot-free to avoid paying interest.

They're forbidden to charge OR pay interest. They can't accept the loans if there is an interest charge.
 
London is the Capital of Islamic Banking. HSBC and other UK based giants have large Islamic Banking departments even seperate institutions. Brits are making huge money from Islamic banking. Having known that why such a demand raised such a roar among the PN crowd is beyond me.

Interest-free lending is why the Muslim world is so backward and shitty.

When businesses try to start or grow, they need to borrow money. Without interest, nobody lends that money. This means not many businesses start. You won't find a Saudi version of Ford or IBM. That also means you can't borrow money to buy a car or buy a house.

At some point don't you have to wonder what the point of sharing a country is? Different food, different banks, different clothes, no dogs, etc. What is the point? Why not just live in a majority Muslim country?

Because Muslim countries are shit holes. It makes more sense to build a Muslim colony in an area that is not a shit hole then leech off the success of everyone else in the area.
 
So ? English people who follow Islam are British citizens just as much as anyone else is, and their voice should be heard. If a large enough segment of the British population wants Sharia compliant loans then so be it...Discrimination has no place in the Western world, and I hope the English-Muslims get what they want.

They are shit holes only because of Europeans who stole their resources via several centuries of colonialism.
 
I don't think a place is generally considered a shithole because of its resources. It's considered a shithole because of its people. In this case their governments.

I respect the right of people worship the religion of their choice, but there has to be a line that society does not cross.

Last I looked they also said that maths was considered to be "of the devil" so maybe they shouldn't have to take math in school. F em, make em pay the same interest rates.
