Muskin Ram

Just bought some more ram.
When I opened up the box, there are 2 silver metal clips on the ram. What are the purpose of these, and should they be removed?

You can see two silver clips on the ram.

Those are for cooling, just leave them.

clips hold (help) heat-sink on - they need to stay in place...

I run in everything I have now the Mushkin accent memory, one of if not the best heat-sink and quality memory there is...

Those clips assist in clasping the heatsink to the RAM itself.

Do not remove them unless you are trying to get the heatsink off to take pictures of the ICs underneath for me 😉
