So ATOT seems to agree that when a passenger is so large that he/she encroaches on the space of other paying customers, they should pony up for the extra ticket. I fully agree. I don't expect this to be a controversial opinion.
But what about trickier situations? As a huge passenger that takes up more than my fair share of room, I ought to pay more. But what if I inconvenience other passengers in other ways? If I felt the need to smell like urine or scream loudly for most of the flight, I think it equally fair that I pay extra to compensate the passengers around me. I understand some passengers, especially those with babies, cannot help but create more noise. But as they are causing greater displeasure than other passengers, I feel they should pay for the privelege.
What if airlines implemented decible meters, identified inappropriately noisy passengers, charged them extra for it, and distributed part of the proceeds to nearby victims?
