as a related deal, this might be useful:

http://www.8thstreet.com/promoinfo.asp?code=P2005

it's 10% off from 8th street music. (note that it excludes certain brands.) i think they have some free shipping deal. above a certain amount spent. there are limitations on weight and size, though. but i bought an 88-key keyboard that about five feet long with a package of 75 pound from them with no shipping.

just an alternative . .

I honestly dont think that is the case in this sale. The prices really do not reflect that like newegg does at time :p

still free shipping...
as a side note, I got my Fender US Highway One Bass today. What a piece of Garbage! I can't believe how bad the craftsmanship at Fender has gotten. Every Mexican and Squier I've played has been just as good, if not better than this thing was. I showed up pretty much unplayable, I gave it a good setup, but the neck is so bowed it would have to be run over to get even, the frets are uneven, and some are sharp. Every single screw on the Bridge was loose, and one of the pickup screws was totally stripped out of the body. I've got a RA# already, it goes back tomorrow.
Those Highway One guitars are suppoised to be American, but they all strangely feel like Mexican or Squiers to me. Bad experience for me. I'll never buy a guitar unless I play the hell out of it first.
