Like drum sets... shipping is often a deal killer for those. Anybody notice if they jacked up the price of the heavier or bigger stuff to balance out shipping? I wouldn't think so since it's only a 3 day thing but you never know.

Thier prices on drums are not that bad at all imo. BUT saying that I found a killer deal online I will make another link for. Got a 7 piece set for under $400 shipped with hardware, cymbals, seat, and a set of sticks. I took advantage of this sale to get more sticks and better skins when I put holes in the cheap ones the set will come with. Plus once I kill the cymbals I will get another better set. I cannot wait to have a set again to let out alot of pent up stress and get some excersize.

AFAIK, they normally have free shipping on items over $99 or $299 or something. Did that not include drum sets?

Its usually on "most" items. They mark up shipping on the heavier items. I suppose it is time to buy another bass since shipping is now free.

I just ordered the Fender US Highway One Jazz Bass. Haven't received it yet.. been over a week. Came with a free iPod Shuffle. I desperately needed a new Bass. My 68 P-Bass Custom is in sad shape, it badly needs a neck reset, and a general overhaul... my Hofner isn't really meant for playing out with. It has to be played so gently, I feel like I could snap the neck off at any second... I owned a Mexican Jazz Bass for about 8 years before it literally fell apart.
I wanted a new Fireglow Ric 4001S but they're backordered for about a month. :(
So... I settled for the US Highway One Series, I like the Satin Finish.. we'll see

BTW They offer free ground shipping on most items, over $300, most of the time.

I'm just lookin' to pick up a casual 5-string. Lost my last one to pawn... dumbest thing ever (Don't wash your pawn tickets). I currently have a 4 acoustic and a 6 Fretless.

Not that i'd ever endorse any guitar that's an Ibanez, but I have 2 friends that have these cheap Ibanez 5-strings. It was the best $200 Bass that I've played in a while. Maybe they got lucky, and picked good ones! A little bit lower on the food chain is the Peavey Millenium series, I've played a few of those, and for $200 it wasn't bad either, if you can deal with the cheezy finish. I've also been thinking about picking up a 5 string to knock around, but I'm a bare bones, rock n' roll kind of guy. I used to play with only 3 strings, why do I need 5?? ;)
After borrowing a Rickenbacker for a month i'm hooked, I gotta get one.

Cool, thanks! I got a music stand, some picks and a new cable, all for under $20 shipped.

I wasn't going to, but I just ordered a new Behringer amp from them. Shipping usually kills the deals on those as they weigh a ton, so I figured I may as well..

Placed many orders with them now. Great service.

Arrg. I wish I'd known last night they would be extending the free ship to today. I stayed up way too late last night looking at stuff to buy. I ended up buying a lot of stuff I never planned to. They're 'trick' worked. :)

Seems MF removes negative user product reviews. They do leave the rating, but it's not worth paying attention to if you can't read why someone gave that rating, and MF knows that. Almost as bad as Newegg's review game.

Of course the reviews are positive.
I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on them.
Personally I would stay away from Rogue, from my experience w/ a Rogue strat. It was awful. Spend a little more and get something you'll enjoy playing. Like the cheap Yamaha w/ active PU's. Supposedly a good bang for the buck.
