I'm sure a lot of you played instruments in high school. So, what did you play, and if you quit, why? Did you like playing your instrument, or did your parents make you do it. I remember about half my high school band didn't want to be there. And how many of you still play?

I still play my trumpet every day, because I still find it fun to practice. I played a wedding gig last week for really lousy pay, but it was still fun.
 
I played drums, and marched in a drum and bugle corp as a Tenor player.
Also played trombone, and concert percussion stuff.
 
Piano, violin. Still dabble with violin a bit, but nowhere near as good as I was back when I was at the regularly practicing 8-year mark.

I have played trombone since 5th grade, a sophomore in college now. Also played Baritone my last year in HS along with the tbone.

I also play a little bit of bass.

baritone was my main instrument, i played in a trombone choir for fun.
 
trumpet- by the end of high school, i was in it because i really liked band class, but ive lost all motivation to practice or play. its just not fun anymore.
 
I played trumpet for 7 years up until high school graduation, and did every sort of band thing there was to do. i played one semester in college, but it was nowhere near as fun and I didn't really have the time. I still have both of my trumpets but it's been a while since I've played for more than just a couple minutes.
