I just ordered a bunch of guitar strings. Real cheap (3.99/pack for some nice ones... d'addario's and martin's and I got one goofy brand that I never heard of too)...

My order total came to like $18 (bought a peg winder and something else too cant remember)

They have a nice special where you get free shipping on almost everything with no minimum order. I could have ordered just one set of strings and had free shipping on it.

And it looks like I'll get it today!

PS: Looks like they shipped out of Indiana and I'm in Ohio... perhaps that's why its so damn fast... but still I think its a good deal!

I've been thinking of placing a small order just to see how they do. Update your post if anything goes wrong.

You got lucky as hell maybe. I ordered an Ibanez from them that showed up like 2 weeks after I ordered not only used, but quite broken. The replacement was bad also. They had me take it to an Ibanez authorized service guy who chraged me 60 bucks to tell em it was broken. Then it took 2 weeks for a refund.

All in all the experience cost me 60 bucks and took over a month and a half to get settled.

Read around a bit. My experience seems to be fairly common. BTW. I dont think I could ever buy a gibson from any online company other than sweetwater, who I highly recommend btw. They assign a a salesman to ya and you only have to deal with that one person.

A couple weeks ago, musiciansfriend.com had a 30% off promo on strings. For a few days you could've gotten Elixir lights for $7 a set (normally $13), and D'Addario for $24 a dozen. I was about to pull the trigger but I already have a bunch of strings at the moment.
