i would buy them at $1.99. It's worth it to me to have the actual cd and not some crappy mp3 off the net... and worth it to me for one or two songs I might really like on a cd
If it was at retail I'd probably buy them regular priced at $5-7 each. I'm too lazy and get annoyed with the club deals that allow you to buy them at a discount... or any mail order scheme for that matter.
I haven't bought or downloaded any music in some time now. The ones I have bought have been kids cd's for our daughter. I'm pretty fed up with the CD pricing but a part of me thinks it' sjust because I'm old(er).
Ah well. They'll never be $1.99 at retail, unless some newer technology comes out and they are phased out like Cassettes were. 🙂
I have purchased CDs as gifts for other people, but I have never bought a CD for my self, probably never will. Music just isn't that important to me, and I can always listen to the radio for free.
I don't see anything wrong with $10 a CD. I buy plenty of discs now for that or more. I also download gigs of music each month, but none of it is illegal. I support the bands I like. If I ever bought a disc and only thought 2 songs were good I'd be disappointed. Never happened though.
