Chef, if they play Crash into Me, then there's going to be a lot of amazed faces. For those that don't know, it's a real "suggestive" song that can be taken two ways, depending on how you hear it.

If you're going with DMB, play Crush...much much much better song.

I want you to need me:

I want to be the face when you close your eyes,
I want to be the touch you need every single night,
I want to be your fantasy
and be your reality and everything in between

I want you to need me, like the air you breath
I want you to feel me in everything
I want you to see me in your every dream
the way I taste you feel you breath you need you
I want you to need me, like I need you

I wanna be the eyes that look deep into your soul
I want to be the world to you
I just want it all
I want to be your deepest kiss
the answer to your every wish
and all you ever need

Cuz I need you more than you could know and I need you to never never let me go, and I need to be deep inside your heart, I just want to be everywhere you are.

Save The Best For Last - Vanessa Williams
Right Here Waiting For You - Richard Marx

And a dedication/inspirational song for your father:

Tears From Heaven - Eric Clapton

BTW, congratulations. :)

Thanks for the contributions there are a lot of good ones on here. I heard one on the radio the other day (never heard it before), but DF probably know who it is. The chorus goes something like "I will always love you my angel in the night." Who in the heck sings that?

Also, Psycho and I would like to say thanks for everyones "best wishes and congrats" posts. :)

Don Henley - Taking You Home:

I had a good life
Before you came
I had my friends and my freedom
I had my name
Still there was sorrow and emptiness
'Til you made me glad
Oh, in this love I found strength
I never knew I had

And this love
Is like nothing I have ever known
Take my hand, love
I'm taking you home
I'm taking you home

There were days, lonely days
When the world wouldn't throw me a crumb
But I kept on believing
That this day would come

And this love
Is like nothing I have ever known
Take my hand, love
I'm taking you home
I'm taking you - home
Where we can be with the ones who really care
Home, where we can grow together
Keep you in my heart forever

Chorus

Repeat Chorus

Or

Don Henley - For My Wedding:

For my wedding, I will dress in black
And never again will I look back
Ah, my dark angels we must part
For I've made a sanctuary of my heart

To want what I have
To take what I'm given with grace
For this I pray
On my wedding day

For my wedding, I don't want violins
Or sentimental songs about thick and thin
I want a moment of silence and a moment of prayer
For the love we'll need to make it in the world out there

Chorus

I dream, and my dreams are all glory and light
That's what I've wanted for my life
And if it hasn't always been that way
Well, I can dream and I can pray
On my wedding day

So what makes us any different from all the others
Who have tried and failed before us
Maybe nothing, maybe nothing at all
But I pray we're the lucky ones, I pray we never fall

Chorus

Or

Alison Krauss - Now That I've Found You

Amazed - Lonestar

For your father:

Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Eric Clapton, and Alison Krauss all have good ones.

And CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I HATE ALL LOVE SONGS!!

They all make me puke and want to kill something. I especially hate Don Henly.. All he does is whine about sh!t. Why not just get a nice string quartet and leave the buttrock at home.

I hate people with a lame ass handle like Str8UpKiller that are too much of a wuss to show their profile.

But then, that's just my opinion.

The first song that comes to mind for your father is John Micheal Mongomery's song I miss you a little. It was a song that he dedicated to his father and I just love the video.

Congratulations to you both! ;)

Don't Go- The Cadillac Tramps
You Got Me- The Roots
The Light- Common
Classic Girl- Jane's Addiction (Was the one song that I wanted played at my wedding)

From the first few responses I read and your post, I doubt any of those would get played, but I am respoding to the topic.

Oh, btw, congrats.

<edit>I need to emphasize this, Don't Go- The Cadillac Tramps If by chance you can find a copy of it, it's been out of print for awhile I believe, at least listen to it. To me it's one of the most beautiful songs that I haven't heard in a long time.</edit>

If you look around a little you can find a live performance of the wedding march by the Spin Doctors.
I love that track, my wife liked it and that's what we ended up playing at our wedding 2 mo ago.

BTW Good luck
Marriage is great.

Damn, Snoogans! You is on the money again! However, you forgot Love Dump by Static-X.

But to seriously answer the question....

Unchained Melody (Righteous Brothers)

Hands down it's one of the best songs ever.
