Recall back in the 80's, they had the "Hooked on Classics" series of records. I'm looking for similar recordings where they take classical music and add a contemporary flare to it. Any suggestions? Artist and Titles.

Thanks.

Arrrrgh! It's called 'muzak' and it's playing in an elevator near you.

No, not elevator music. If I wanted that, I would be looking for Andy Williams and Johnny Mathis.

"Classical" adaptations.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra is great. A lot of what they do is original work, but they've got some re-workings of some great classics. Think small orchestra with some hard rock guitars, electric violins, and a drummer.

Try the Christmas Eve and Other Stories album, it's pretty good and has some remakes on it.

BTW, they have one of the best live shows I've ever seen.
