Anyone here on Anandtech do music production, write music or anything?
Post your band page or something too!

It needs a thread like this one if some do :D

Anyways, I was just wondering what do you guys use to hook up to your pc to record. Do you use a Mic? a Direct Preamp?

Me for the guitar and bass parts I use a Digitech RP500
For Vocals or anything midi I use an M-Audio Fast Track
I use Acoustica Beatcraft for drum machine-ing (idk the word lol)
I recently used Mixcraft and I was very satisfied with the results. More satisfied than with Audacity and Cubase LE.

For headphones i Use my Sony MDR-V150's. I love them to death though they are not very durable.

My music page is @ http://www.reverbnation.com/jordancastro

Anyone?:whiste:

I use Reason for everything and have finally picked up a proper card...an E-MU 1616m. I have a Fast Track (an older version) as well as an Audio Buddy. What's nice is that I can piggy back the Audio Buddy onto the 1616 for some additional interfaces (though I can't individually mix them in Reason).

I don't do any vocals but I am doing some voice over stuff now and use a Rode NT2-A.

Listen to everything through BX8 D2s.

I don't have a lot of room for HW, but I'd like to get into ProTools a bit more. My dad has a nice setup and it would be good to more easily send things.

No music page for me yet...as I just screw around. :)

I've heard very good things about Pro Tools. I have yet to use it though. Many of my friends say its the essential recording suite for music production, although it is expensive.

Me, I really like Cubase LE. It came with the Rp500 and i'd have to say its really good.
