what parts should i get to build him a nice pc that is designed to make music?

it doesn't need to be rca studio quality stuff or anything... just something an amateur musician could use.

where else was i supposed to post it, though? it's not a specific hardware, os, or networking issue or anything... and, plus, there are musicians who make music on their computers in ot, so i figured this would be the best place to ask.

ok? it's still not a specific hardware issue... i'm not having a problem with any one piece of hardware.

plus, i searched in general hardware for threads about musicians and production pcs and whatnot and found nothing... what little i did find, no one replied to their posts. i'd only waste my time there...

EITHER WAY, i'd appreciate it if someone who could actually help could give me some advice about what to put together.

That would go in either Technical Support or General Hardware, but you're asking us to help put together a PC. Don't you think that goes in GH? Don't you know what goes in GH every day?

You think a thread asking for help with picking out parts for a PC would go in Off Topic rather than General Hardware?
