Art has been in existance since who knows when.

I also believe its mainly existed in two basic forms? (sound, and visual)

When and where is the next step. The type of art that we could lose ourselves in.

some people have told me drugs = feeling, when i brought up this subject.

I was going to say the same thing.

Precise electrical stimulation of nerves. Best thing is, this could be applied to ANY part of the body :D

Electrical stimulation of nerves... pop this disc into the machine connected to you labelled "Virtual Orgasm" and... well, you get the idea. Or put in the disc labelled "Heroin" and feel like you just did some.

for something to be called 'art', it needs to be finite and express itself through a medium that can be preserved and judged by others. a painting, poem, music piece, book, ballet routine, or movie all fall into this category. drugs do not, since the experience we have through them is subjective and ever changing, nor can the experience be preserved in such a way that others can immediately judge it. that's not to say drugs can't be uplifting, open our minds, or even inspire art; just that the raw feelings they invoke are not what we'd usually define as art.

Combination of both, sounds and visuals. Imagine "...bow..wow..chika bow wow... oohh...ahhh...ooh.....AAHHHH..." I think they call it performance art.

wow. start by giving us a chain of associations that actually connect with each other, then maybe we can provide you with an answer for the third.

SOUND=hearing, LIGHT=seeing, TOUCH=feeling

MUSIC=hearing, VIDEO=seeing, MASSAGE=feeling

MUSIC=auditory, VIDEO=visual, MASSAGE=tactile

notice how "music=hearing, video=visual" doesn't fit into any of those options? prepare to get fvcked up the ass on the SAT test, kiddo.

but aside from my flaming, i think the point is that there is no tactile art form, but there are forms of tactile entertainment (I chose massage as one "family friendly" example).

edit: i had to fix one of my own associations. ah, the irony. ;)

Go back to step one. If you don't get feelings from music, you're either listening improperly, or listening to the wrong music or performance.
