music files switching to quicktime ones

i had a whole bunch of music files on my hard drive. the day before the music files were all winamp ones. the next day they were all swtiched to quicktime ones and i want them back to winamp again. how do i change them back again to winamp. i am using windows 98se.

did you just install Qtime? I dont use winamp but I know others have something in properties that allows you to adjust what files belong to the player. So you can say only .wav files. This way the player only claims files with that ext. does the winamp have anything like this?

nevermind i figured out the problem. i just unistalled winamp then installed it again. all the files went back to winamp once i installled it again.
