Music Concerts

Modeps

When I was in college, I went to everything I could. Even if I remotely liked a band I'd go see them live... Hell, I went to see the B-52s because I could and I got to go backstage cuz I knew someone at the radio station that hosted the show. Now however, I rarely goto any shows at all. The last was "Blue Man Group - The Complex Tour" and that was probably about a year ago. Am I getting old or is this a natural progression? Maybe I just dont want to deal with those crazy "mosh pits" anymore. How about you?

A friend and I just went to see CKY in Milwaukee, WI on the 27th and it was an awesome show. They played almost all of their first album and a lot of their most recent one. Beer was $5.50 a cup so I only had one but other than that, \m/ 😀

Saw Ben Folds, Guster, and Rufus Wainwright last Saturday...awesome show, Ben Folds is very good live

Last one I went to was a few months ago, I saw Linkin Park, P.O.D., Hoobastank, and Story of the Year. Was a damn good concert too.

Last one i saw was Hootie and the Blowfish, and the day before was Dave Matthews Band. Both were great shows 🙂

The shows that would actually want to see cost more than I am willing to pay. Back when the Mega shows and great concerts only cost $20 I went all the time.

I go to a lot of shows, especially in the summer. Cake is supposed to play the Michigan Tastefest tonight so I want to go to that but have to con some friends to go, considering we all went to the last 2 Tigers games.

Saw the 101x Fest in Austin getting close to 4 years ago now, Offspring, Oleander, Orgy and someone else. I tried to go see Boston in Houston last year, but it was raining so hard that I felt it wasnt worth the drive to try and get there.

I went to Foo Fighters with my (now ex) girlfriend about a year ago, and that's about it. Enjoyed the experience, but it was just WAY too loud. And no, I'm not trying to be a goody-two-shoes. They really did have it turned up to high - even my girlfriend had a hard time hearing / understanding what was going on. I think if I could get to a concert that was in an outdoors venue, it would be a little better. Wonder if there's any Van Halen tickets left for the two shows they're doing here in St. Louis?
