Music burning problems

Hey guys,
I've got a 16x plextor and was trying to make some music cd's for my folks who were over. I managed to get one copy out after 2 coasters [i used both nero for the 2 coasters and then tried ez cd-creator]. I was trying to make another cd [this was from mp3->cd] and i made even more coasters, in both nero and ez-cd creator. Nero wont even let me simulate at all for some reason and ez keeps failing half way thru. I'm using PNY cd-rs but i've never had problems with them before... Grrr... its too late to make these cd's now cause the ppl i was making them for are now 1000+ miles away. But can anyone help shed light on this?

My rigs in the sig... it shouldn't have any problems: 1.33, 256 pc 2100 ddr, etc. I've got the latest version of both Nero and EZ CD. All burns were from the HD, converting .mp3 to .cda via the burning program.

As for the exact error, i forget, but I'll run a sim from EZ cd-creator. I'd run one from nero but it won let me sim for some reason!!
