I don't see much mention of Mushkin memory on here, just wondering what the general consensus is, as I've used Mushkin in the past and thought it was pretty good RAM.
 
I have used Mushkin in the past as well and it ran great with excellent service. I was planning on buying again for my current computer, but it was just too overpriced. In my opinion, if money is not a primary or secondary concern with a memory upgrade, Mushkin is still second to none.
 
Back in the day that Mushkin Black used to be some of the best DDR available for overclocking. They used the original Winbond BH-5, excellent stuff, you could just feed it as much voltage as your board could generate and it would love it.

I think I still still have my 2*256 OCZ Gold with original BH-5 actually... I wonder how it would fare on a 939 system...
 
my dad has mushkin ram. works great. he hasn't overclocked the ****** out of it but he does do some light overclocking. kind of overpriced though.
 
Using Mushkin XPs here, 2x1GB. Haven't pushed them too far, but have been faultless in the months I've had them. If you find a good price, or don't mind it, pull the trigger 🙂
 
Been using two sticks of Mushkin Blueline 2-3-3 512mb for over two years now. Never once had any issues with them & would buy them again in a heartbeat if they were priced competitively.
 
I've used Mushkin, Micron, Corsair, and OCZ over the years, all are good brands, what I got just depended on who had the better deal at the time
 
I have four sticks [DDR] in this old IC-7
2x 512 and 2x256 Mushkin Redline PC3200 2/3/2/6 @ 2.7v
Bought the smaller ones first then the bigger pair.
All are the same and run in Dual channel.
I have been running these at the above mentioned timings and voltage with a 215 fsb 1:1 since I got them.
The smaller ones are black and the 512's are red.
I called Mushkin about the difference and they guaranteed they were the same.
They are.🙂
That was a long time ago.
I've had them over 225, 1:1 and 235 and more at 5:4.
They allowed me to have a nice 200 to 500mhz o/c of my 2.8c.
Or maybe I should say the Mushkin didn't hold me back.
I still have a spare pair of the 2x256's somewhere.

I will definately look at Mushkin when I finally build my next box.

what's your fvcking problem? i typed fast and didn't double triple check it for mistakes like you do. and no he doesn't. he uses kaspersky anti virus and has the famed AMD Athlon XP-m 2500. good for you?
 
Have used Mushkin several times before, always good stuff.

Good warranty service too. I had a 512 stick of high performance pc2100 just quit working after 4 years of continuous service, left it laying around for another year, and they replaced it quickly after I finally RMA'd it.
 
i bought the super cheapie 1gb sticks and stuck them together. they run at 2t, but no problems or anything. can't say anything bad except the 2t (which really is NOT noticeable)

I admit they are a tad more expensive, but for me, I'd rather spend a little extra and have peace of mind. My current memory is Corsair, as they are also highly rated and I was trying to keep my rig under budget. Otherwise I would've definately bought Mushkin....plus, there was more Mushkin bashing on Newegg than I cared for.

There are so many times I read NewEgg reviews and am instantly hit with that nostalgia that comes with age... god damn PEBKACs. I can often tell you exactly where said user fscked up when reading through NewEgg's reviews...

One example is a user couldn't get FireWire-800 card to work correctly... and we're talking the NEC Chipset model. All he needed were some updated drivers which already existed at the time of his review submission, and I found on google within two minutes of reading his drivel. He rated the best firewire card I've ever worked with 2 stars.

*sigh*
 
I have a Mushkin 2x1 GB HP PC3200 kit in my secondary system (formerly primary).
One dimm died after a year, but teh RMA was fine, & they sent me a second set with prettier blue heatspreaders 😛

Mushkin is generally excellent IMO, though they do tend to be a bit pricier sometimes.
 
I've always used Mushkin and NEVER had any problems, but yeah price is a bit higher... but excellent product! You get what you pay for 🙂
