What I don't know is what the CAS Latency speed is nor what the clock speed is.

If anybody does know and can clue me in, I'd appreciate it. But it seems like $100 for a good stick of 128MB PC133 is a Hot Deal.

if it's the same stick as I have, then it's an awesoe RAM. Mine went up to 140Mhz CAS222 before my CPU gave up. Unfortunatly I can't resolve the markings on Mushkin's page.

My infineon runs at 140 at cas222 also but my PIII 700 wont let me go faster. The review I read said it would do cas222 up to 146 and case 3 after that. Great memory for these slow bus speeds.

About two months ago I paid $320 for 2 sticks, so I'd say this is a good deal.

I'm debating whether i wanna up to 384mb while the price is so cheap, though it seems pretty stupid since I don't do enough graphics work to justify the purchase.

Just as an fyi, McGlen.com has KINGmax PC133 128mb for $86 a stick, and something like $10 second day air shipping. I have heard this is quality stuff also. If you were to buy three, it comes to something like $268 delivered.....

hehe i have the king max, if you are lucky, and tweak the mobo settings just right it pretty stable at 133 cas3 on a good day :( , asus a7v.

don't waste your time using it on some older mobo's either, its single sided 256 megabit chip (8 chips) and a lot of older boards will flake on it for some reason. Extremely touchy to drive strength, and vio as well.

Thanks for everybody's input. I'm the original poster and I just put in my order.

If anybody is interested in a mini-group buy, I would be willing to sell 2 of these sticks and keep one for myself. I'll sell it to you at cost ($100), I'm not looking to make a profit.

I'm a junior member here, but I've got over 120 positive comments on e-bay, if that helps on the trust issue (my user id name on e-bay is bnomoto).

Anyways, if no one's interested, having 384 MB of RAM would be *DAMN* cool! :D

Oh dumb question... but this will work on intel as well right?
ah.. and how does this RAM compare with the MUSHKIN PC-133 128mb rev.2.0 bulk buyRAM post?

I don't see why they wouldn't work with Intels. We could always call them tomorrow 1-800-569-1868.

As for the Rev. 2's, I don't know what the difference is. They would cost $71 more per piece though. Maybe they're guaranteed at CAS2 while the Infineons aren't?

Another thing to ask them tomorrow.

I noticed the deal myself but had no need for 3 sticks, I was hoping there would be a group buy here. I'd love 1 stick Ryoga or Valvoline, I'd be willing to pay the 100 bucks plus whatever it costs to get it shipped out here to Northern California.

If you've got one to sell, let me know.

I'm pretty sure I found out the details on the Infineon website. Check here: Infineon 128 SDRAM. From the description at Mushkin it looks like its the 39S128800CT-7.5. The memory is rated cas3. I think I will keep my Crucial PC133 cas2 for now..

CAS stands for Column Address Strobe and you get about 10-15% better memory performance with cas2. You can get by without it, but it's definitely a good thing :)

But is it worth the $299?

Which is better: to have 256 of CAS2 for the same price, or 384 of CAS3.

Geez, that is a crapload of memory

This is definately very good memory, but I would not exchange high quality cas2 for it if you already have it. This memory normally sells at Mushkin for $119 a stick, so you are saving $57 by getting in on this deal. Definately great if you NEED memory.

Firecrotch if you already have the 256mb of cas2 you are better off. Unless you do heavy graphics work 128mb is enough, the performance gain for most users going to 256 is minimal (some say there is a decrease??) and at 384 I doubt there would be any performance gain at all.
