mushkin memory?

I bought 256 ddr pc2100 form newegg. Then went to mushkin web site. They have three varieties of 2100, basic, special, and high performance. Which one will be comptatible with the stuff from new egg. Should I spend the extra for special? Do I even need to stick with the same brand? Any recommendations. I am running an ABIT kr7a-raid.

Congrats on your long time lurk and 1st post. Mushkin offers a variety since some people are overclockers. If you do not overclock, then save a few bucks and get the basic. You might want to purchase another identical stick if you got a good deal on it. You are welcome to mix-n-match ram, but I always try to stick with the same brand/type in my rigs.

Thanks for the info. I will probably just order a nother 256 from newegg. At $90 i dont think that it is such a great deal. But I do need photoshop to open a bit faster.
