So i just got up after a long night, and im looking at the AT homepage, when i notice this add for a Mushkin SSD. Wanting to know more, i follow the add link to their site. seems in the specs page it lists indilinx as the controller manufacturer.

http://www.mushkin.com/Digital-Stora...SDIO256GB.aspx

so that makes OCZ, Supertalent, Gskill, Patriot, Crucial, and now Mushkin as well? Indilinx is gonna be making a fortune at the rate their going here :awe:. cant find any proper reviews yet though

SSDs with Indilinx controllers generally fall in right behind the Intel SSDs.

They look like good drives at a good price. The fact that even seem ready for shipping is a big advantage these days.

The big problem with the Indilinx drives to me is that they're over priced for what you get.

I needed something in the 120+ GB range, which left me looking at 120 / 128 GB Indilinx drives and the 160GB X-25M G2. At the time, the Indilinx drives were going for ~$370-420, while the X-25M was going for $450. Over 30GB more, AND better performance, for just $50ish? It was a no-brainer.

When they were down closer to $300-350 they were a pretty good deal.

I purchased my OCZ Agility 120GB for $240 after rebate and cashback. That's precisely $2/GB, basically right at my pricepoint.

yea the agility drives are a really good deal after rebates. my second SSD is going to be either a 160 X25-M or a 120 agility, for my laptop as a boot drive. the best thing about the indilinx drives right now is that they have the 256GB drives, which are great for people who need larger apps drives (see sig). since intel isnt releasing 320gb drives until june they are going to hold that spot until they fix TRIM+RAID0, which puts them in a really good spot. as it is, intel is selling every single flash drive they can manufacture and 32nm flash isnt hitting the volume they need yet for 320gb drives to even make sense, but some people want huge drives and they're willing to pay for it.
