I'm thinking that the Mushkin may be more valuable for a future (non-OCed) A64 system.

Yes I'd go for it. For the current system it probably won't matter much, but for the A64 system it should help a lot. I had pc2700 paired with my A64 before and it was horrible. Got some cheap pc3200 ocz and there was a major increase in performance.

Will do. The fact that I'm not shelling out much more up front makes it easier, and the future-proofing is probably worth the $10.

Any one have a link to the rebate info? I forgot to print it out last night. It looks to be gone now.

Thanks

so do you think the deal will still work even though on the website it doesnt say anything about the rebate. Also, when it means 1 per household... can i buy both of them.... but get the rebates sent back to 2 different locations?

Thanks

so if im gonna get that sempron bundle from outpost, this will work in it right (just not take advantage of full pc3200) basically i want to build a CHEAP PVR/downloading box so i dont have to leave the laptop on all the time. i just want to find the cheapest way to drop 512mb of ram on this system

seems like a good enough deal for a bump (3rd page is no fun) plus a hope for an answer to my Q, would be nice to order both on the same call

Well I'm not sure which bundle you are referring to, but it should be ok. If the mobo is supposed to take pc2700 ram, then yes it'll just run at the lower speed.

hmmm, what time did you order saturday? I ordered around 9:20pm EST, and on outpost.com, my order status is..."order fulfilled," but my item status is "in process"

This is my first time ordering from Outpost, and I havne't gotten ANY emails. I entered my email addy correctly too. Kind of strange....

Yeah I got one that confirmed that the order was placed, then some other one saying more or less the same, and finally the one that cancelled the order. Bah, I guess I'll call fry's and see if the store has any left.
