Mushkin 512mb PC3200 3-3-3-8 module $18 (+S&H) @ Newegg

Decent memory if used alone but wouldn't mix with my patriot memory at loose timings.

Don't mix with other memory unless you want trouble.

Just as I find the other Crucial RAM on sale won't work with my computer, this comes and goes. Just when I wanted to double my memory, too.

FYI, I got them, then realized my mini-PC only has two slots. The Newegg box is still unopened. Newegg wants to charge a $11 restocking fee, so I'm open to selling these if anyone is interested.

I've replied to each of the PM's. I'm not looking to make a profit at all. I'll let them go to the first one that replies and can work out payment (Paypal more than likely). If you have an issue w/Paypal, no prb, just let me know and we can probably work something out.

Link.

Stock up for future upgrading of friends' older systems. 🙂

Direct link please!
He did use a direct link but NE pulled this item from their site so a direct link is automagically converted into a link for all items of that brand.

I'll have to check out that APIDA 1GB.
Thanks

EDIT: Ouch on the APIDA 1GB.
Manufacturer Warranty
Parts 30 days limited
Labor 30 days limited

Better to pay a few dollars more and get a lifetime warranty.

Newegg's site does say 30 days, but the manufacturer's website says "3 years limited waranty for all APIDA memory products."

Warranty Info

Also, Newegg doesn't specify any non-standard return policy, so that means it's returnable to Newegg for replacement within one year of purchase.

I've been installing memory in computers for over 20 years (DIP, SIP, ZIP, COAST, SIMM, DIMM, etc.), and I did desktop support for a living for many of those years. While I've had the occasional DOA part, I've never had a memory part fail on me after initial testing. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen, of course...but a one-year or three-year warranty on RAM is the same as lifetime in my book. Besides, APIDA doesn't make the memory chips, they're made by the same companies that make the chips on all of the other brands of DIMMs. At best, APIDA puts the chips on the DIMM modules. More likely is that they put their name on the DIMM modules that somebody else put together, just like most of the other brands do.
