Mushkin 512 3200 cas2 $62.99

just ordered 2. they are on back order. the csr said 100 is coming in on the 15th. for those of you ordered the hyperx, they are in on the 17th.

I ordered both, wonder which set is better.

the page the OP linked says $64.99 now and also says "Call for availability" - I wonder if there any left of the 100 that are supposedly arriving on the 15th?

Yes, I've done that and it works. As long as they are quality RAMs.
One thing though. The 3500 will not be fully used to its capabilities since the 3200 will hold it back a little on peak speeds.

We currently have 100 pieces arriving Monday the 14th in our outpost warehouse. we currently have only 22 backorders as of 9:30 am Sat 12th. Now is the only time to lock in 62.99 and we will honor it for back orders. 😀 after that it is likely to go 64.99 or 69.99.

i wonder which is better too...

the hyperx shows this for the memory

Memory Description Settings
333MHz (PC2700) 2-2-2-5-1 (CAS Latency 2)
370MHz (PC3000) 2-2-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2)
400MHz (PC3200) 2-3-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2)
434MHz (PC3500) 2-3-3-7-1 (CAS Latency 2)
466MHz (PC3700) 3-4-4-8-1 (CAS Latency 3)
500MHz (PC4000) 3-4-4-8-1 (CAS Latency 3)

the mushkin says 2-3-3 at 400MHz
hyper shows 2-3-2 at 400MHz

don't know if that would make the difference on top end clock ... but shows better latency

would be interested to hear anyones overclock results ... i'm in the market.

also interested in knowing how it compares to the patriot GB of memory

OK THIS IS SMOKING HOT

This is mushkin blueline. I paid $93 a stick for this at newegg about 3 months ago. This stuff currently runs $88 a stick on the Mushkin website. Thank you for this great find, I had been holding out to upgrade my system to 2 gigs! woot

Yes... cost is going to go up on these as demand increase and chips might get harder since a lot of people will start to try to use thse...Frys cost might go up also.

So this is guaranteed UTT chips??? any1 knows if this deal is better to go with VS. the OCZ vx Value over at ata.com??

If I buy 2 of these will they work dual channel? Would I be better off buying 2 x 512MB sticks specifically labeled dual channel and if so please explain why? Thanks!

they should work in Dual Channel Mode. If not u can always call tech support at 800-569-1868.

BTW- Frys stores should have them in stock now too....

Are you sure this is the " Blue Line " memory? Mushkin lists the part as Model#990992

MUSHKIN PART#990922 Heat sink color may vary. 2-3-3 @ 400MHz
Why is the Heat sink color varying if it is Blue Line?

New Egg is selling the memory for $91.00, the item is all listed as (Model# 990992 )
Mushkin Blue Line 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - Retail

Has anyone talked to anyone on these issues at outpost?

It is a great buy if it is the same item that NewEgg is selling.

Wow nice catch on the part number. Missed that 2 for the 9. I did a search of part numbers. I looked at what's on the Mushkin website now and I looked at every part number of mushkin ram newegg has(5 pages) The number on outpost does not show up anywhere. If you google the part number, nada. If you go to pricewatch and put in "mushkin 990922" nada. As far as the timings go they are only matching up with blueline and some old level I that I found. I can say for certain it does not match up with the cheap stuff or any of the EM series. I'll let you guys know once I get it. I am not smart enough to think of what it could be if it is not an error on the website. 🙂

As far as dual channel, yes. (if blueline) Mine are in my Chaintech VNF4 Ultra board and runs great.

And as far as heatsink color may very...

Read the fine print🙂

Heat sink color may vary

Hi Ahill,

Did you buy the MUSHKIN 512 MB 3200C2 Blueline in seperate packages or in a 2x512 dual channel pack? The cheapest I can find the Mushkin Blueline 2x512 dual channel pack is $174.00 shipped at Monarch Computer so buying it from Outpost in 512MB seperate packs would save me about $40 and I will do so as long as they'll function as matched dual channel sticks. Thanks in advance!!!

Seperate packs. Both from newegg.

edit: and for what its worth under CPUZ it lists these under manufacturer:

Slot#1 Enhanced memories
Slot#2 00000000000000

For whatever that means. Both are Blue line purchased at the exact same time from Newegg.

This is how well these overclock....

Check it out.........

Hi Aziankid2004,

The Mushkin PC3200 Blue Line is product #990922 and is listed at 2-3-3 @ 400MHz; the link to the overclocked stats is related to product #991427 which is different memory RIGHT??? I doubt very much that your gonna get 2-2-2 @ 490MHz with those Blue Line sticks unless you can prove to me otherwise!!!

The Patriot PC-3200 Patriot (PDC1G3200LLK) is listed at 2-3-2-5 T1 @ 400MHz which are better timings than the Mushkin PC3200 Blue Line.

I just did a Google and PriceWatch search for 'Mushkin 991427' and I got back ZERO results; how did you come to that www.mushkin.com/epages/Mushkin.storefront/EN/Product/991427 link in the first place??

outpost mistyped it. I guarantee it is the 990992 512mb 3200 blue cas2. 991427 is for the image that was put on the site. the software that is used to load the website has to assign an id to the things that goes on there. ....

i have a set in my test rig right now and am able to get it to 252 with the dfu ultra at 3.3v. bu this is my rig so it all depends on what u have. i dont know much about patriot just that is it build by PDP and all their parts are just copied from mushkin, corsair or ocz.
