Mushkin 2-2-2 Special BH-6

Hey, I just purchased a Mushkin Special 2-2-2 512MB
running it dual channel with my Corsair Twinx LLPT 512MB
My CPU is a AMD AthlonXP 2100+ @ Vcore 1.725v
SLK 900 with Panaflo 92mm

so basically having 1 GB now.
However, I was not able to run Prime 95 more then an hour without errors

Memtest86 Ran fine with Voltage bump to 2.8V
im having a A7N8X-Deluxe Rev 2.00 btw.

Before I had the mushkin,
I was able to do 206 X 11 on the corsair on dual channel
timings at 2-2-2-11
Pass Memtest86 at 2.7 V Vdimm
Pass Prime for almost 8 hours
Pass 3dmark 03. Did not stall.

now with the Mushkin

Pass Memtest86 at 2.8 V failed at 2.7V
Prime failed after 57mins
3dmark 03 , not tested yet

i want some feedback from owners of the same Mushkin I have current. And how far did you manage to push the RAM?
thanks.

Typically, BH-6 will do the same as BH-5, but will require more volts.
To get the most out of the BH-series of RAM, you will need >3v to maximize potential.

Try running JUST the mushkin and seeing how it performs. If it won't do rated speeds at rated voltage, contact mushkin and I'm sure they'll help you out; they have some of the best customer service in the industry.

why dont you call them up and find out or also post on the mushkin forums.

my two sticks of 222 are sitting on my desk waiting for a few more weeks untill the new nForce250 boards hit the stores... I bought these dimms about month and a half ago with full faith in mushkins lifetime warrenty. If you feel the dimms are not up to spec do not hesitate to call and find out whats going on. They have some of the best customer service around.

I got a Mushkin level1 refurb from newegg and it had problems. Called up Mushkin with no sales receipt number or anything, just said it didn;t work right. They gave me an RMA number. I shipped it to them. Within 1 week of receipt, they had returned me a good memory stick ! But you do have to try it by itself, and when using more than one stick of memory, you will have to run it at a slower speed, usually about 10 hmz less with each stick.

Waste of $$ buying Muskins overpriced BH6.

Get some OCZ 3200EB.. it runs TIGHT timings and high fsb. Best thing, its almost $100 cheaper at the egg.

Well the fact is I am trying going over DDR 400,

Just wanted to see what other people may get for that stick,

I'll try running more test on it, but if I can't touch at least 205 X 11,
I think I am gonna sell it.

the 2.8V for running memtest already bothers me.

coz corsair dont even need that much voltage to hit 206 X 11
