A muscle in my right arm (I think it's the tricep) keeps twitching. Beginning to piss me off! :| :)

Had this as well, you should get a roll of tums (with calcium) and eat a bunch. This can be caused by a calcium defiancy. Mine (was my left tricep) did not go away for about a week straight, and was driving me crazy, but eventually stopped. Other things could cause this, but eat some tums, and give it a few days, if still doing it after a week, I'd go see a doc.

A week? :Q

It's been like 20 mins and it's driving me crazy already :p. I take a daily multivitamin, although I'm not sure how much calcium is in it. Lately I haven't eaten that well and besides the vitamin I don't think I have been getting that much calcium. Maybe that's the problem. My mom has some muscle relaxers at home, that would probably work too?

I notice I get that when I'm dehydrated sometimes.

Calcium and potassium are also cited.

Considering i just spent the last 6 months going through a nutrition class i would say its a combination of all 3. feed your sarcomers some nutritents and water and you should be fine.

DO NOT TAKE ANY MUSCLE RELAXERS. you are not having a spasm or hard core cramp.

Maybe you have had a curse placed upon you?

Is there music playing? If so, turn it off...does your arm stop? :D

You are mutating!

That sort of thing happened to me when I was in 7th grade or something.. head muscles started to twitch for no reason. I eventually figured out how to control them and now can move my ears!

Either
A. Your pottasium/sodium balance is off, causing a minor nerve short circuit
B. A nerve is getting pinched somewhere in your back and you just need to see a chiropractor

Calcium in a multivitamin is completely worthless. They just use it as filler, and is made of calcium carbonate which is virtually chalk. In fact, when I take vitamins I make sure to take mostly water soluable vitamins and minerals (since they only last about 2 days in the body, where as all the fat soluables are stored for a very long time) and I take a seperate calcium supplement (non-carbonate).

Sleep deficiency can cause this too.

This tricep-twitching thing was bugging me for about 20 minutes straight; I read through this thread and seeing dehydration was a possible cause I drank some water and the twitching immediately stopped. Whaaaat.

I used to get that every now and then but it's been a while, I think too much caffeine and/or sugar can do it. Been a long time since I've had it happen, and I don't drink as much pop as I used to, so it might be related.

Look into Albion mineral chelates; they are excellent and highly bioavailable. Also make sure to get enough vitamin D3, A and K2 to further absorption.

I agree with the general consensus that the OP is likely deficient in one or all of these electrolytes: potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium and chloride.... also B vitamins such as B12 or possibly dehydration.
