Same guy. He dishonored the Corps that he served in.

I used to live in his district. I figured he'd have to die before we got rid of that corrupt SOB. Although I had a good feeling that Bill Russell would have beat him this November. Looks like it's a given now.

Corrupt politician that falsely accused our troops of “killing innocent civilians in cold blood.” Not exactly a great legacy IMO...but may he RIP.

I don't think its hard to find many things not to like about Mirtha, but still, he had, IMHO, a redeeming role in being the first really pro military congressman to question the prudence of the Iraq war.

And good, bad , or indifferent, death claims all politicians and non politicians in the end.

Murtha was a perennial target of critics of so-called pay-to-play politics. He routinely drew the attention of ethical watchdogs with off-the-floor activities, from his entanglement in the Abscam corruption probe three decades ago to the more recent scrutiny of the connection between special-interest spending known as earmarks and the raising of cash for campaigns.

Murtha defended the practice of earmarking. The money, he said, benefited his constituents.

Sounds like a scumbag. RIP anyways.

Yeah, he was one of those "I'm for it, until I'm against it" politicians.

Just goes to show we have a bunch of old men in Congress.

I may oppose what he stood for, but may he rest in peace.

never heard of him, because he doesn't matter.
War critiq, blah blah, position of stability in the middle east is win for all of us for at least the next 50 years.

Have you been to Iraq? I have, the women there are all like "praise boosh, boosh is our king, thank you boosh" for their freedoms and the lives they now live in peace. Their husbands do not come home missing an arm because S.H. got bloodthirsty.
