My friends back home play it from time to time...when we first got exposed to it a few years ago, we played it constantly. Since then, it's more a fall-back game.

I'm a fan. If you've ever done any kind of trading card game, you'll be playing tactically inside of 5 minutes. For everyone else, there's a little bit of a learning curve, but it's still really easy to learn.
 
It's an easy game to play, but some people really hate this type of card game.

They also made a board game version that I think is pretty fun. It's basically a dungeon crawl, the dungeon revealing itself as you play.

Personally, I prefer Quelf as far as party games go
 
its somewhat better than killer bunnies and the search for the magic carrot...
but they are both fun.

I really suggest you read the rules for munchkin.
Not just read them... read them outloud!!!.
 
While you dudes are playing cards, the women and I will be entertaining each other.
