Multivariable Calc help?

I just started MV Calc, and am having a bit of trouble with some of this stuff..are there any good places online that could translate this stuff to english for me?

its a quite informative book, i have one myself, but, it's kind of hard to get if you can't really understand the supplementary book you're assigned with.
