Right,

I have backed up a lot of files on a CDR and have done this in 8 sessions. On the 8th session there was not enough room on the CD unless the CD was closed. The problem is that session 8 in my stupidity wipped files that I still need. I've no idea how this happened in all honesty.

Question, although I can see all the sessions I've created, is it possible to go back to session 7 which has all the files I need. I've lost loads of letters, excel files and VB classes and programs. I'm gutted.....

I'm using Nero 5.0.3.8 if thats any help.

I could cry......ever seen a grown man cry......

Any help would be appreciated.

:(:(:(

Alrite well you still have all the files on the CD, so don't worry, to choose sessions, if I'm not mistaken Nero installs an addition to Windows, so just right click your CD drive in My Computer, and you should be able to change, I think that's how it's done.

Put the cd in the drive. wait 10-15 seconds. Then click on "My computer". In the explorer window, go to the CD. Right-click on the CD, and keep the button pressed. You should see a pop-up list of sessions (Windows defaults to the last, ALWAYS). Choose the one you want. Bingo!

You mean that right-clicking on the disc doesn't open a session list window? Hmmm... could be a Nero thing, but I doubt it... Don't you have Easy CD Creator?

No, I don't unfortunately. There must be a way within Nero, shouldn't there?

Thanks.

Whoops I left something out of my previous post, what I meant to say, was; right click the cd, then goto the Properties, and then Nero should have installed the extension, and then select which session you want.

*Also reading from your cd writer, may give you access to all of the sessions*

All you need is ISOBuster. Works great for times like this, allows you to see all previous sessions, as well as discs with corrupted TOC, etc. Nothing to install, just a simple executable...works great and it's free.

Get it here.

Best regards,
Floyd
