Ok so I'm the process of tinkering with my CPU multiplyer and FSB to get a good combo. The default of my 2400+ is 133x15 euqalling 2ghz. I uppe dthe FSB to 166x12 to give me 2ghz. Now is the this 2ghz the same as the last? Is 2ghz the same no matter what multiplerxfsb you use?

Another quick Q, what are some of the OC's people have gotten with their 2400+?

yes, 2GHz is 2GHz...but your FSB is what makes the difference. that's how fast your CPU communicates with the rest of your system or something to that effect...better to have high FSB and lower multi...r u running your memory in sync with FSB? that's ideal...running FSB and memory out of sink is not recommended....

Yeah I think I'm running them in sync. I have an Epox 8RDA+ so I don't think I've seen anything about them in the BIOS, I would've noticed, I'll take a second glance at it though next tiem I reboot.

So theoretically would my CPU run cooler if I were to say put my FSB at 200mhz (my ram is PC3200) and put the multiplyer to 10 to get 10x200. I'm not sur eif my mobo fully supports a 400mhz FSB, but it probably won't hurt it to find out.

EDIT: Tried the 400mhz FSB, motherboard didn't seem to like that configuration all that much.
