how do i get multipliers above 12.5 in bios? i'm still not sure how an athlon 1400 would work. i have latest bios installed. i can't get my 1200 athlon past 1500Mhz because of FSB limitations. i need multipliers above 12.5......any ideas????????

The Tbirds above 1200 Mhz use different multipliers...

FSB 200 1.3Ghz Athlons interpret 12.5 as 13
FSB 200 1.4Ghz Athlons interpret 5 as 14

In which case... your motherboard has to SUPPORT the CPU you are trying to put in it. The multipliers will only go so high, so you aybe need to get a new mobo :Q

just to clarifie

cause if you buy a real 1400 the higher multiplier (above 12.5) will be hardwired onto the chip and then tha mobo doesnt care it just runs it.
thats why you have to hardwire the higher multipliers onto the chip if you want to OC it higher than what 12.5x can give you.

hope that made sence 🙂
