Multiple transformers buzzing

are you sure this isn't whining capacitors? i find that more likely that power supply noise, especially since you describe it as high-pitched. i have dog ears and whining caps kill me. i've replaced multiple ones in my LCD monitor.

to me, all CRT's whine annoyingly. not sure if it's caps or something else, but i don't know if you can fix it...same thing often happens with PSU bricks.

I removed the CFL from dimmer switch and no more buzzing. Still weird, a dimmer switch with a CFL on a different circuit was causing harmonic distortion throughout the entire house.
