I have an old S3 Trio64 and monitor laying around and I thought I could use them in my Windows 98 box. The problem is Window's Trio64 driver doesn't support multiple monitors. Is there another drive I could use that supports multiple monitors? Thanks for the help.

Peace.

For anyone interested I figured it out using the Microsoft knowledge base. Just use the Trio64+ driver off of s3.com and it will work. Thanks anyway.

*UPDATE*

My monitor now displays the message

"If you can read this message...to use this adapter...open the display option in the control panel and adjust the settings on the settings tab."

As it should but when I do in fact enable the monitor in the settings nothing happens with the second monitor. The second monitor only supporst 640x400 resolution at 256 colors but I don't think that should be a problem. Thanks for the help.

You mean it works even though it's not a V+? You just tell it to install as a V+ and it works? Awesome, thanks, I was wondering myself! =)

Hey,

I have the same vid.card, S3 Trio64+ in one computer but when trying to use it with a Goldstar 15" monitor I can only run 640x480 resolution. When I try any other res. (both higher and lower), everything looks warped and very dark...

This happens both in 3d(games with a v2 card) and in 2d. I've tried taking the v2 out and just using the s3 (without pass-through), but it doesn't help).

Do you guys have any idea why (I've tried downloading the latest drivers both for the S3 and the Goldstar)?

Thanks!
