hi everyone,

my dad's business wants to hook up like 2-4 monitors to the same computer, so that each monitor shows the same image that a few different people can all look at at the same time. Now, i've seen switches that allow you to hook up many computers to 1 monitor - good for like server rooms or something, but i need a switch that goes the other way - hooking up many monitors to 1 computer. Where can i get one from?? Or should i just go with a geforce MX Twinview deal???
thanks for the help

You just need to get a splitter, but the problem is that every time you split a video signal, you degrade the quality. Just look at the monitor displays at Best Buy for proof. Check out some of these. They're splitters that condition and amplify the signal, so you don't get any degradation even if you need to run monitors hundreds of feet away. The four and six output models at the bottom of the page would probably work very nicely.....not cheap though.

I am not 100% sure whether the PCI will work in mirror mode with the AGP.

But the 2 outputs in AGP and the 2 outputs in PCI will work in mirror mode.

Listen to Shooters. The "dual-head" or whatever video cards are great for individuals using their workstations, but if you are setting up a professional conference room with multiple synched displays then go with a splitter/amplifier.
