Multiple Monitors and junk

My GF's laptop that I just reformatted has a screen that looks kind of pixelated... kind of like a bad LCD screen.

I THINK this problem has something to do with there being "Television Screen" "plug and play monitor" and "defauly monitor" all installed. It defaults to television screen, and changes back even when I delete the wrong settings and restart under "default monitor"

Is the problem I have identified right? If so, how do you fix it?

Ugh. Updated the drivers.

It looks like in her advanced setup options.... "Generic television" defaults and won't let me change it to "Default Monitor" or "Plug and Play"

I even disabled all the CRT stuff in the BIOS, but it's still f'ed

any help?
