For you guys that 3 monitors, I would love some pics or youtube video of a First Person Shooter playing on one...

Thanks!

EDIT***

Also, do you find yourself looking at the CENTER monitor more than the peripheral ones?

More specifically, I would like to see someone who is doing this with Nvidia cards...

LOL, I expected that but was hoping for some stuff from members too not just random folks :awe:

Haha sorry, that comment about HardForum is good. Lots of Eyefinity people to ask, though there are some hardcore Eyefinity people here =)

By eyefinity+, I mean 3+ LCD setups. What's so special about nVidia? I mean, what differences in monitor setup will reflect whether nVidia or ATi is used?

If you look through the thread, I think there are some that use nVidia and some who use both to drive like 6 LCDs. People just tend to go for ATi as each card can output to 3, 4, 5 or even 6 displays whereas you are stuck with 2/card with nVidia. It works well for casual gamers who want maximum viewing area for gaming and productivity.

Almost exclusively the center, the side monitors get quite skewed and really are just for your peripheral for immersion. I glance to the sides on occasion when I see movement and want to check what it is without turning my camera but really it's easier to just turn your camera to see it than to turn your eyes/head to see it.

In MMO's like RIFT though I have my side monitors loaded with stuff like big map, chat window, bags, etc. so I look to them all the time.

EVEN watching youtube of multiple monitors I found myself fixed on the center monitor most of the time...

If I go BIG, I'm thinking I will just go with one 30" Dell...

actually, i use 3 monitors span'd out and im thinking of adding a 4th as a 240hz HDTV on the wall on top of my tri screen display.

That way i get true 3D on the HDTV when needed, and i can have a gignormous amount of realestate to balance all my software monitors.

Oh i also have this guy perminently fixed inside my computer on a USB port displaying CPU-Z, CoreTemp, and MSI Afterburner, as well as a couple other gadgets.

Although i rarely use the touch screen feature on it.

Also remember 30inch means ur gonna need a fwoken high end gpu if u want to game full screen on that massive resolution.
Normally unless ur face is spam in front of your HDTV to the point where u can almost kiss it, its not bad with FPS.

But getting 3D on a large monitor like that i think would be more worthy then a 30inch higher resolution display.

one 570 wont run a single 30" dell?

puahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha

570 isnt enough to push a 24 with full eye candy.

And im talknig about Frames faster then 45 fps.

I was confused. I thought you were saying you we're going to get multiple 30" screens. But even so you may have problems with a 30" screen and a single 570. At that kind of resolution you really need more video memory such as the 2GB 6950 or 6070.

guys were talking on a gaming sense here, and not productivity.

For productivity, almost any gpu that can support the resolution will do.

But for gaming... PUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAa... 30inch LCDs... OP, i could of gotten one, but the 800 additional cost in GPU's on top of a 1000 dollar monitor was a bit too much for me to sink into.

The card specs says it can go at that resolution...?

Oh for sure it will run at that resolution. The question is will you get a decent framerate at that resolution. Of course there's no rule saying you need to run games at the monitors native resolution, but it may look bad if the monitor doesn't upscale well.

30 is console dude..
if you want 30, you can get that on a console.

45+ with full eye candy is what defines PC gaming.

and there is a big difference between 30 vs 45+ .

Its not going to happen on your gpu's. And it takes 2 580's to do it flawlessly on a 24. 1920x1200.

The Op wants 30, im thinking massive ram first off, and at least 3 570's in tri sli, or 2 580's or 2 top end ATI cards.

570 isnt enough to push a 24 with full eye candy.
