Multiple Instances of WinME in a PC

ugh

Platinum Member
Hi all,

I'm trying to get 3 instances of WinME to be installed on a PC. Can I use the multiboot config (via config.sys) to boot to those 3 WinME instances?

TIA.

Ugh,

Just curious. Why do you want to install three instances of ME on the same computer?

I think that is a waste of your time as ME can mulit-task quite well. Is that so three persons can have their own installation to work with?

One instance will be installed with IE6 with NS 4.7
2nd instance with IE5.5 with NS4.6
....

Guess you get my point 🙂 And I can't use VMWare or anything of that sort.

Get XOSL, install it to primary partition #1, and install ME to partitions 2, 3, and 4, using the XOSL (Ranish) Partition Manager to hide the existing installations before each new one. Don't be afraid of the docs on the XOSL site - they make it sound a lot harder than it is.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up. Just found out bout hiding the partitions but didn't know how to move on 🙂
