Multiple concurrent RDP users with Windows Vista Service Pack 1

Hey all,

With Vista straight out of the box, I remember finding a hack online to allow a user to be logged into the computer while simultaneously having RDP users connected (had some problems though). Service pack 1 appears to have corrected this, but I was wondering if there were still anyway to accomplish it. It was really handy, and I'd really like to have the ability for multiple users to connect.

Honestly, Ultimate has been a disappointing upgrade over the other versions of Vista so far, so it'd be nice if MS could at least add some value to it and allow at least 2 or 3 concurrent users.

Vista's RDP is quite a bandwidth hog, it is unoptimized for network balance. We recently got a corporate license for Logmein (basic license is Free) which is much better than RDP and also doesn't overload the network. Anyway to fix RDP to allow multiple sessions you have to patch termsrv.dll - this method is not supported by MS and not legal, so i cannot tell you more about it here.

Not legal to do or not legal to share the files?

I know the procedure, but I don't believe it works on service pack 1.

Anyway, I don't really need multiple RDP sessions, but I would like local users to be able to continue using the computer while I'm connected via RDP (or something similar).
