Just noticed this recently. Click on a SubForum and click on a topic that has multiple pages. Click in to the second page.
Then, try to navigate using the back arrow in IE8. The first two clicks will do nothing, the third will take you backwards. I hovered over the back arrow before each of the first two clicks and took two screenshots. I think they'll tell the tale.
I have not experimented going in more than two pages so I can't say whether that results in the necessity for still more clicks. I cannot reproduce this on a topic with only one page. One click in those will take me back.
At other vB Forums I am not seeing this behavior. That tells me it's not my computer or an IE8 problem.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it ....
