Multiplayer Icewind Dale on Vista 32

Hi all,

I'm revisiting the oldie but goodie Icewind Dale. I'm trying to setup a multiplayer game on Vista 32. The single player side works just fine, but when I try to create a new or load a saved multiplayer game, IWD hangs until I terminate it. I tried this on my XP Pro box and multiplayer works fine there. Unfortunately, Vista is on my lappy, and that's the one I'll be using to play.

Why would single player work just fine and multiplayer hang? Any of you have any ideas how to fix/workaround this?

I don't have any specific information for you, but i would try asking at the planetbaldursgate forums. Still a high traffic site with the original BG being around 10 years old.
