Anyone every try running multiplayer games under windows 2000 professional? I have a specific issue with a specific game.. Age of Empires - I cant connect or host a multiplayer game using windows 2000. Of course, it works fine under win98 but 2000 wont let me connect with people. I also have a problem sending files and making direct connections over AOL Instant Messenger under 2000. Seems as though 2000 is full of security and not letting me do these kinds of things.. any suggestions?

What kinda of Multiplayer game are you trying to set up? Is it over MSN? OR dialup? Is it just not located your server? or you can't join?

oops, forgot to mention I'm trying to connect via "Internet TCP/IP" (using regular ip addresses - connected to net via dialup) according to the age of empires program. No, not the LAN TCP/IP, the "Internet TCP/IP" .. anyway it doesn't work. I can actually see the game but I cant JOIN it.

And nobody can join mine.

I am considering destroying Connecticut.
