I have 2 monitors and I'd like to watch say a episode of family guy on the tv out(DVI) and play madden 2006 on my monitor. I dont really care about the performance idfference since madden is pretty system lienent and video cant take all that much video processor power.

Whenever I do this though, IWindows Meida Player goes blank. The sound is still there and madden renders fine but the movie does not render. any suggestions to multitask like this? I have a 9800xt.
 
Try using "high Quality" mode instead of overlay to render the video.

Tools>Options>Performance>advanced
