Multi-SSD/OS Question

I'm awaiting new parts for a new computer build in the mail. My old computer was destroyed via a large cup of water. I'm assuming my SSD with my OS is still good from it.

So, I'm going to put win7 on a new SSD, and I will want to get the information off my old SSD (which also has win7 on it).

If I install win7 on the new drive then hook the old SSD up, will this cause problems? How will the computer know which to boot from? I've set a dual boot up with vista and win7 and am familiar with the option to choose, but since it's the same OS will this option still exist?

No problem with doing that. You will need to boot into your BIOS and specifically check which drive you want to boot to. You are right to disconnect your old drive while you install to your new SSD. In fact I highly recommend you unplug all drives except the drive you are installing the OS to. Otherwise Windows 7 might put some information on another drive.
