Multi-Processors Motherboards

Anyone have recommendations on a multi-processor motherboard for a couple of intel quad core chips. It's for a video editing machine I want to build. Something similar to the 8 core Mac Pro 🙂

For socket 775? The only one I know of is Skulltrail.

For socket 771 I'm sure there's several, but I wouldn't know what to recommend.

What are the differences between 771 and 775. I'm assuming that 775 is the latest core, but I could be wrong?

That'd be the 771 chip I'd use if it's better than the 775.

Socket 771 is usually for server boards, and multi processor. 775 is the standard now for current single socket processors. Skulltrail IS NOT 775. It is a 771 board made to run Xeons in the 771 package and the Intel Core 2 Quad Extreme 9775 which is also a LGA 771. Skulltrail (Intel chipset) is more of an enthusiast board with a 1600 FSB and support for SLI and Crossfire. Memory support is FBDIMM DDR2 800 or 667. It would be the premier board to go with but, it carries a hefty price tag with it as well. $660 on one of the bigger etailer sites. As I don't really venture into the dual socket arena, I couldn't even begin to give you an idea as to what to choose.
