I've got 2 drive on the two seprate udma 66 channels on a soyo 6ba+4 mbd. the primary channel is booted off of, it has i dunno how many partitions, lemme think. . a 500mb c: a 3.5gb e: | a 1.5 gb linux, un seen| a 2gb fat16 gonna be for beos F: | 3.5 gb g: | 1.5 gb h: ntfs| 8gb fat32 I: |rest for linux swap

also i have a second physical drive partioned as a 3.5gb and 2 others and about 2-3gb is missing, not sure where , but the first 3.5 gb has a bootable install of 98se, we'll call it 98old, id like to change the boot loader to kick up "98old" how would i adapt that line below to do so?

how do i figure out what is the number to point the os loader to
a snippet of my boot loader

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Prof" /fastdetect
C:\="Microsoft Windows"
d:\="win 98se ARKAOSS" <for thread- this is where i want it to point to win98old
g:\="dos" <this i'd like to point to the g drive, which starts before the 8gb mark, and contains dos and cdrom drivers. so any one capable of this challenge

Im sure you already tried and found it not to work, even though your syntax is right. Im not sure it is possible what you want with the NT bootloader, but thats not a reason to give up. There are a couple of freeware bootloaders that can do the job for you, that will even let you pick Windows 2000, Win98, Win98Old, DOS, BeOS, Linux and whatever more from one and the same bootmenu.

I dont know any links by head, but ill look where i left them and post them too.
