The mode you are looking for is called "Dualview" on Nvidia hardware. Should be third on the list in NV CP after the previous two modes you mentioned.

In case it's not showing up, would that second display you listed happen to be an HD-TV? You might need to go detect it manually in the CP depending on the model.
