First of all thanks for reading this. I just recently bought a new 19" monitor. Before, I was using 2 15" monitors in a horizontal span at 1024x768 each.
Now that I have my new monitor I decided I would take the better of my 2 old 15" and run it next to the 19. Obviously 1024x768 doesnt look very good on a 19" monitor so I tried a bunch of different resolutions. I eventually settled on 1280x960. My problem is the other display doesnt run that high, in fact 1024 is about as good as it gets.
I was expecting really bad distortion but I didnt get any. Only when I was looking at a text document did I notice the scan line moving upwards. It's very faint and can only be seen on white backgrounds.
So my question here is, can I do anything about this other than setting the monitors to an equal resolution?
and if not
Will this distortion cause damage to the tube?
btw I am running both screens at 75hz
thanks
