multi boot system

I'm building a new comper in a few weeks and I planned on putting win 98SE XP Pro Redhat and Mandrake on it but I'v never done a multi boot system before whitch of the 4 should I install first and then second and so on

any help will be greatly appreciated

98 needs to be first.

then XP

then pick a linux (but install its bootloader to its partition, not the mbr)

then install linux#2 and install the bootloader to the MBR.

I think that should work.

the most OS's ive ever had on one drive was 3. win95/win2k/mandrake.
better wait for some more info though, because im not certain that will work.

what exactly is the point of having them all anyways?

98 first, XP second, then linuxes (linuces?). There are a few ways you can handle the boot loading. One way would be to have both linux installations install LILO to their respective partition boot records. Then use the XP loader to boot to linux, as described in the FAQ.

Mandrake and Red Hat are so similar that, personally, I wouldn't load both.
