Can anyone imagine what it must be like to be conducting an investigation into the highest levels of one's own government while under constant attack by the majority party? I wonder if he's living somewhere that isn't a residence publicly listed as being owned by him for fear of nutjob Trump extremists who think that the country would be a better place if he took a bullet in the eye.

I just can't imagine the level of stress that he must be under. It would be different if he could honestly feel like anyone in a prominent position of power actually has his back as long as he does his job.

I don't think there's even a vague chance that I could handle that amount of stress. I wonder what it's like for his family.
 
I want for justice to be served wherever that might lead. Mueller and his team should be a hands off entity and I believe that it should be a criminal offense to impede them in any way.

Mueller might be the investigator, but it's up to Trump's own DOJ and Republicans in Congress to act on it.
To imagine that they might act on any findings Mueller brings forth....

I suspect he considers this relatively modest in the broader scope of his life. He earned a Bronze Star for rescuing a wounded soldier in Vietnam and returned to duty after being shot in a later encounter... now that's stress. He also stood up against pressure from the Bush Jr. White House over its desires to continue torture and unconstitutional wiretapping.

It's definitely rare to be leading an investigation that could indict the President, but I suspect Mueller is treating this like he would other cases. Stay cool; don't flinch. Methodically build an airtight case that can't be shot down, even if it takes a long time or doesn't produce the results you originally expected. The one danger he's likely not used to is Trump worshippers who would gladly have him dead rather than see Dear Leader face charges.

And to clarify something: attorneys believe Mueller can, in fact, indict Trump, so he isn't necessarily beholden to Congress. Whether or not the DOJ cooperates may be trickier, but I suspect that even Sessions and Rosenstein don't dare shoot down an indictment without genuinely good cause.

As a side note: it's funny to think that there's all this intelligent, carefully considered investigation taking place when it really boils down to Trump being an imbecile. At least Nixon's evil involved degrees of intellect and guile.
 
The next challenge I am anticipating is the brave Trump anxious to tell his side of things to Mueller under oath. He's innocent and has nothing to fear unless it turns out he's just a sock puppet that will move his lips to say what his lawyers want him to with their oh so dexterous and long hands. I for one am not looking forward to having to admit my brave super hero is just a tool of swamp creatures.

I don't think even Trump is stupid enough to shoot his mouth off while under oath, as hilarious at it would be for him to torpedo his own defence.

I beg to differ with that and if you listen to his attorney's from previous cases he likes to talk which will be his undoing

Remember the golden rule with Trump: whenever you ask "is he really so stupid as to..." the answer is always "yes, he is that stupid." If Trump had been the one on trial in A Few Good Men, he'd have been bragging about ordering the Code Red before the questioning even started.
 
I gotta think that he has to be really excited. This investigation could prove bigger in scale than Watergate by quite a bit.

He could pull a Hillary and say that he does not recall, has no recollection, or can't remember. I don't think her lawyers told her to say those things because the woman has got morals and scruples oozing from every pore of her body.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right?

Never true. First off, we can nearer know if somebody remembers something or not because it isn't our memory, but even if she were lying, some thing you are sure of but have no actual way of knowing, that would not make it ok for trump to do. You are saying that Trump can kill Mueller because Clinton killed Foster.
 
I look at Mueller as Alexander Haige, kind of emotionless, not the guy who is going to be a Cuck (some AT members need this lingo to understand), not a guy who is very happy with accomplishments
Hell I remember some conference around the time the Berlin Wall came down and someone asked Haige how the meeting went and he was like “productive” then walks away. The guy negotiated a huge deal and that’s all he had to say.
